MOLK FACTORY
“Molk”,
is a kind of onomatopoeia for a world of mellow, soft sounds. Like small children who gather
objects and materials that have a certain muted sonic quality and improvise with them:
jamming with rubber hoses,
wooden spoons,
muddy earth,
slapping water and other thick liquids.
Who can create the most molky sound? A naive purity and non- judgement to playing with sound. As well-studied, self-critical adult musicians who dream of returning to this state of play when creating, Molk Factory is this beautiful entrance to return to this state of mind.”

Molk Factory is a gathering of performing artists and musicians from different disciplines, who all bring their own views and methods, but constantly seek closer contact with each other's art in order to exchange artistic languages.
The Molk collective comes from diverse backgrounds: pop, free music, contemporary composition, sound art, theater, mime and visual arts.
Molk Factory finds poetry in the convergence of this multitude of perspectives, aesthetics and methods. This is expressed in resounding polemics, juxtapositions and harshly edited styles but also in unexpected harmonies of fairytale simplicity.
Molk Factory connects the worldly with the Amsterdam, woven together with forgotten world views, voices from the margins, and scenarios for the future. It is a movement and focuses on the horizon where a wide audience listens to and shares with us.
